Gilt metal minaudière, with chased decoration on both sides of harnessed elephants, tigers attacking gazelles, camels and deer, against a background of foliage populated with enameled birds. The edges are chased with garlands of flowers. Rectangular reticule with four compartments lined with gilded leather (small tear) for the compact, small envelope for the powder puff (missing) and blush cup (lipstick case missing). Agate opening button set with a lapis lazuli cabochon. Signed Cartier and numbered 34495.
