ÉON (Charles de Beaumont, known as the Chevalier d'Éon or Chevalière d'Éon).
Autograph letter from the Chevalière to M. Le Tenier, London, May 19, 1791, thanking him for sending two tickets to the King's Theatre. However, "as she never goes to public assemblies or to the Comédie and it is more than 25 years since she set foot at the Opéra, she makes a present of these two tickets to Madame and Mademoiselle Angelo", wife and daughter of the famous swordsman.
